The buyer of the domain name chinese.com is from Hong Kong.

The German version of the globally renowned online domain trading website SEDO announced that the domain chinese.com was recently sold for over 1.1 million USD in an online auction on SEDO, with the buyer coming from Hong Kong. The message also disclosed that chinese.info and chinese.biz were sold for 27,000 euros and 72,900 USD respectively.

It is understood that the domain chinese.com was auctioned on SEDO on July 4th and sold for 810,001 euros. Earlier, there were media reports questioning the authenticity of the sale of chinese.com.
