According to the latest report of foreign media on July 13 (Eastern Time Zone, which is July 14 in Beijing Time), Sergey Brin, co-founder of Google, recently indicated that Google is very willing to negotiate with Facebook regarding the acquisition of the social networking site.

Brin said, "If Facebook approaches us, we would be very willing to negotiate with them, but I think they are more inclined to grow into a large company through independent operations." In the past few weeks, Facebook's user base has increased from 24 million at the end of May this year to 29 million, and its user demographic has shifted from being predominantly college students to users of all age groups. In comparison, MySpace has 60 million users in the United States and 90 million globally.
