[Gallery] The Amazing Deception of the Satanic Leaf-tailed Gecko

The bizarre satanic leaf-tailed lizard, pictured below in the Daraina region of northern Madagascar, grows to just nine centimetres long and lives only in the eastern centre of the island. The species can mimic dead leaves and can curl its tail round its body like a dried-up leaf to help with its camouflage. This allows it to 'blend' into the natural environment of the rainforests of Madagascar.
