With the resurgence of the Internet, it has once again become a hotspot for venture capital. Currently, there are a large number of educational websites of various sizes in China. These can be divided into two main categories based on whether they operate commercially or not:

1. Non-commercial websites: These are built with government funding and managed and operated by local education departments, with free access to teaching resources. The websites of local education bureaus (committees, offices), and some regional educational metropolitan area networks fall under this category.

2. Commercial websites: These are invested in by enterprises or have significant enterprise involvement, operating on a commercial basis. Educational information services, teaching resources, value-added services, and educational metropolitan area networks funded by enterprises belong to this category. Non-commercial websites do not involve business operations and thus will not be discussed here. We will focus on analyzing commercial websites, which generally have the following types of operational models:

(a) Basic Network Services

Websites included: Most commercial educational metropolitan area networks, usually operated by vendors using seller financing.

Operational Model: The revenue of network operators mainly comes from network access fees. Schools connected to the network pay monthly broadband usage fees, ranging from hundreds to thousands of yuan. Schools also charge students for extracurricular computer practice as a subsidy. Operators provide relevant educational information, educational resources, and application services.
