Website parodies old man and is ordered by court to pay 20,000 yuan compensation for mental distress

A 63-year-old mentally disabled man surnamed Zhang sued a website which published his photos for entertainment. The photos showed him wearing embroidered jackets and combing small braids, and he was selected as the illustration of the parody "There is a girl called Xiaofang in the village". Yesterday, Xuanwu District Court sentenced that the defendant - Beijing Zhongjingnet United Information Consulting Center should make an apology to Mr. Zhang by publishing a 10-day statement on China Economic Net and pay 20,000 yuan as spiritual damages compensation.
