After losing a QQ account, if a user’s friend information has been maliciously deleted by the person who stole the account, it can result in the loss of the user’s social network. Even if the user successfully retrieves their QQ account through an appeal process, significant damage may already have been done. The Restore Friends service is specifically designed to assist users facing this kind of problem.

How do I update my friend list and see the avatars of lost friends after successfully restoring them?

QQ VIP users will automatically update their friend lists upon re-logging into their accounts. For regular QQ users, manual updates are required. To manually update, click on the "Menu" button on the QQ main panel, then select "Friends & Information" from the menu that pops up. In the sub-options, choose "Update Friends." Please note that to successfully complete the update, you need to log out of your current session. It's important to mention that this system currently only supports the restoration of friends and cannot restore custom friend groups. If the recovered friends were previously in a custom group, they will now appear under the "My Friends" group after recovery.

Why is the actual number of restored friends less than the number indicated as recoverable?

The actual number of restored friends might not match the number suggested by the system for restoration. This could be due to repeated deletions of the same friend, but this situation does not affect the completeness of your friend list.
