Social networking platforms refer to platforms on the Internet that enable social interaction. Most of the information on these social networks is created or shared by users, including: status updates (such as Twitter, Fanfou, etc.), social relationships (Facebook, Kaixin001, etc.), personal profiles (MySpace, etc.) and multimedia information (YouTube, LastFM, etc.). Here, I will introduce some personal statistics from a few social networking platforms that I am currently using.
Microblogging
Twitter - A very popular microblogging system abroad, and also used by many in China's internet industry. Number of followers: 1,567.
Fanfou - One of the earlier domestic clones of Twitter, with a more dispersed user base. Number of followers: 900.
Digu - A latecomer among domestic microblogging platforms, its synchronization plugin leaves a deep impression. Number of followers: 337.
Aggregation
FriendFeed - After the redesign, FriendFeed is no longer just an aggregation platform but has also enhanced its Twitter-like functions. Subscription count: 1,337.
Sharing
Google Reader - The sharing feature in Google Reader allows convenient sharing of reading items among friends, making it very easy to use. Subscription count: 606.
