In the past few days, search engine company Baidu has been making frequent moves in the wireless field. On May 4th, Baidu formed strategic partnerships with three major mobile phone manufacturers - Samsung, Lenovo, and Tianyu - as well as mobile phone chip manufacturer MediaTek (MTK), fully integrating its wireless search services into the phones and platforms of its partners. In response, industry experts have commented that this signals that in the post-3G era, Baidu, the world-leading Chinese language search engine, has sounded the clarion call for a full-scale offensive in the wireless search market.
