Canonical also announced the simultaneous release of the Ubuntu Server Edition 9.04 and the Ubuntu Netbook Remix 9.04. The extensive features of the Ubuntu Desktop Edition 9.04 have been further enhanced to improve the user experience. This software boots faster (in most cases in about 25 seconds), ensuring quicker access to a fully functional computing environment for most desktops, laptops, and netbooks. The software's enhanced suspend and resume functions provide users with longer battery life and enable immediate use after waking up from hibernation. The software has expanded its intelligent switching between WiFi and 3G environments, supporting more wireless devices and 3G cards, providing smoother experiences for more users.
