Noble Social Gathering, Noble Life

I have an addiction to registering on overseas emerging sites. It's a kind of "perverse psychology" because I don't quite understand them, so I am more willing to explore. But today, the Shangliu Society has attracted me. This forum based on Discuz! is not only attracting me in terms of registration behavior but also in completing all my personal real information. It doesn't end there; I actually post seriously. The worst part is that the first thing I did after getting up this morning was not to open my blog, but to post on the Shangliu Society.

Is the Shangliu Society very popular? No, it's just been set up. Is it because Fearless knows someone there? Not really, we're not very familiar. So why? My curiosity kicks in again. Let's go crazy about Shangliu.

Shangliu, Shangliu, the flow of fashion and the trend of style. I think the literal meaning can only be understood this way. Many friends have the view that "communities are hard to run" and "forums are outdated." I find such statements quite laughable. Isn't it like saying "children are hard to give birth to" or "making love is outdated"? The analogy may not be entirely apt, but the general idea is to express "Never outdated, no problem!" And I believe even more that this is the true Shangliu creed and the absolute upper-class mentality.

Red men and green women, lip rings and tattoos, that's not Shangliu. If one insists on calling it that, then it's merely standing in the queue waiting to enter. Following enticing advertisements to the cinema, mall, National Grand Theater... etc., these are less likely to be Shangliu. Listening to iPods while forgetting safety hazards, using Macs suitable only for watching adult films, that's still not Shangliu... None of these are. They are just a small part, very small. I realize even more strongly that those who survive the ruthless洗礼of time, those who mostly cannot be desired, those who have yet to be discovered by the masses, are the true Upper.

For someone like me who doesn't even care about DailyFill, can the motivation for becoming a member of the Shangliu Society be understood this way: "Because I am here, and you are not, so I am the Shangliu Society!" Hahaha, is it an article criticizing me? No, those who should go will go, and those who shouldn't, won't be pulled to go, and even if they are pulled, it would be a wasted trip.
