Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, April 18th (reported by Lü Nu) The "Guiding Opinions on Strengthening the Resurrection Examination Work for Master's Degree Graduate Recruitment" released by the Ministry of Education on the 18th increased the weight of the graduate resurrection examination. For the first time, it was explicitly stated that the resurrection examination results should account for 30% to 50% of the total score.
Currently, about 400,000 candidates are entering colleges and universities to participate in the postgraduate resurrection examination. This year, the Ministry of Education held a national meeting on postgraduate enrollment work in 2006 before the resurrection examination, and issued the "Guiding Opinions on Strengthening the Resurrection Examination Work for Master's Degree Graduate Recruitment". It comprehensively, systematically, and scientifically standardized the postgraduate resurrection examination work under the new situation regarding the construction of the postgraduate enrollment system.
According to Lin Huqing, Director of the Department of Higher Education Students of the Ministry of Education, the guiding opinions strengthened the construction of the resurrection examination system, enhanced the status and role of the resurrection examination, and for the first time clearly defined the proportion of the resurrection examination score in the total score. It determined that the resurrection examination work would be fully responsible by the recruiting unit, managed at two levels of the school and institute, and collectively examined by tutors and experts. The guiding opinions formed a more scientific evaluation system: professional examinations focus on examining students' professional quality, development potential, innovative spirit, and ability; the scope of investigation is more comprehensive, not only professional quality but also cultural accomplishment and ideological morality (such as dedication, social responsibility, honesty, etc.); the forms and methods of the examination became more diversified according to the characteristics of the discipline, such as written tests and interviews.
