Linux Kernel 2.6.29 Stable Release Available

Linus released the latest stable kernel version 2.6.29 this morning. It has been nearly three months since the last version, 2.6.28, which was released on December 25, 2008 (basically a new version every three months), and it went through eight RC versions. 2.6.28 was updated to 2.6.28.9, while the 2.4 series was at version 2.4.37 as of December 2, 2008. The improvements in this version include: kernel-based graphical mode settings.
