Solve my mother's computer problems without going out

There was originally a post on digg.com titled "A List of Software to Help Mom Solve Computer Problems from Home." In the replies to that post, someone recommended the software CrossLoop. At the time, I took a look at it and found its design to be very simple, but since I didn't have two computers to test it with, I never got around to using it. Today, I finally had a chance to try it out, and it's great. After running the software, a simple window appears with two options: Host and Join. The person needing help selects Host and then sees a string of numbers, which they can give to the person who will assist them. Then, they click Connect and wait. The person providing assistance selects Join and enters the number provided by the person needing help, then connects. Once the connection is successful, the person needing help will see an option asking if they allow the other person to assist them; clicking Allow suffices. Then, over the network, you can see the other person's desktop and take control. This software is simple and easy to use, and it can penetrate firewalls. It can be said to be designed with great humanity in mind.
