The price of ADSL in Japan is much cheaper than in China, and the speed is much faster, generally above 12M. At the same time, there are many additional services, such as free static IP addresses, and 30G free email accounts.
NTT in Japan is equivalent to the old China Telecom, which is the dominant player in the industry.
NTT provides two types of IPv6 services in Japan:
◆ Native IPv6 service - directly connects to the global IP backbone network via the IPv6 protocol, providing customers with global IPv6 network transmission services.
◆ Dual-stack IPv6/IPv4 service - uses only one access circuit to simultaneously provide IPv6 and IPv4 connections to the global IP backbone network.
Recently, NTT has also launched an IPv6 dual-stack service in its ADSL service, named OCN ADSL service. This service fully supports IPv6 and completely eliminates the complex network setup process through plug-and-play functionality.
The OCN ADSL service is the world's first commercial dual-stack IPv6/IPv4 service using ADSL with plug-and-play functionality. Its features include:
◆ Providing a vast number of IPv6 addresses, equivalent to 2^80.
◆ Plug-and-play support allows users to use both IPv4 and IPv6 environments without complex network settings.
◆ Using ADSL circuits as access lines, high-speed broadband rates can be achieved, with downstream rates up to 12Mbps and upstream rates up to 1Mbps, and customer satisfaction with pricing levels.
◆ Customers can choose to use the "simple DNS hosting" service for free, allowing them to register and modify DNS through a simple web interface without setting up DNS servers.
