At CES, Palm released its Palm Web OS smartphone operating system, developed under the leadership of former Apple executive Jon Rubinstein. Additionally, Palm launched the Pre smartphone, which features a touchscreen, a side-slide full keyboard, and supports GPS (Global Positioning System) and WiFi.
