Why Microsoft Products Fail

Today, I came across a great article on Yeyan — Why Microsoft's products fail? The author thoroughly analyzes several points that software design should pay attention to, entirely from the user's perspective. In my view, these points are equally applicable to online products.

First, let me share a key sentence from the article: "Technical support only accounts for half of the overall product design factors. The other half consists of human factors: lacking rationality, prone to impulsiveness, having little patience, and being machines driven by the greed for power."

The author then puts forward five critical aspects: Consistency, Usability, Simplicity, Performance, and Stability.

These five points have already been explained very clearly by the author, so I won't elaborate much further. Additionally, I would like to add one more point: Inheritance!
