Compared with previous models, Canon's latest MiniDV has obvious improvements in menu and function keys. However, Canon stated that it would re-evaluate the MiniDV product line this year and temporarily only upgrade the low-end MiniDVs; it will not launch relevant new MiniDV models. In other words, Canon will end the life of MiniDV in 2007. At least in the mainstream home-use market, Canon will focus on developing DVD camcorders.
