Jin Ping Mei Plot Introduction: Song Dynasty. Ximen Qing (played by Lin Weijian), a young man from a prominent family, is handsome and gifted with extraordinary talents. He also inherited his father's (played by Xu Shaoqiang) expertise in medicine and pharmacology, being particularly skilled in yang replenishment techniques. Just as he is beginning to spread his wings, his father arranges for a charming courtesan, Ziyan (played by Kaera Uehara), to stay at their home, ostensibly as a daughter of an old family friend temporarily residing at the Ximen household.
