UCWEB CEO Charles Yu: Mobile Internet users will double in 2009

On December 9, Yu Yongfu, the CEO of UCWEB, said that charges were still the primary factor constraining mobile Internet. If charges continued to be adjusted downward, domestic mobile Internet users would double in 2009.

Yu Yongfu pointed out that PC Internet enterprises were mostly concentrated in Beijing, but the mobile Internet center was in Guangdong. This was mainly due to the influence of earlier charge policies. Charges were still the primary factor constraining mobile Internet. With the reorganization of operators and the adjustment downward of charges, mobile Internet users would double in 2009.
