[Ccidnet.com] December 29 news, the well-known American IT magazine "Wired" recently made a forecast on the IT development trend in 2007. The article pointed out that due to the sales volume of the personal edition of Vista being lower than expected, Bill Gates, chairman of Microsoft, will make a comeback at the most needed time and personally take up the position of CEO.

The following are part of Wired magazine's forecasts for next year's IT development trends:

1. After a new round of acquisition craze including MySpace, Flickr, and Yelp, search giant Google has no more targets for acquisition.

2. Copyright lawsuits in the record industry will continue.

3. Nokia will launch a mxx2115 multimedia phone. After integrating more than ten functions such as MP3, video games, digital camera, camcorder, GPS, satellite radio, and email access, it was surprisingly found that the call function was forgotten. However, after clever promotion, this device actually sold quite well.

4. The competition between HD-DVD and Blu-ray DVD standards will continue. Before a winner is decided, many consumers will remain on the sidelines.

5. Sales of the personal version of Windows Vista will be lower than expected; Bill Gates, chairman of Microsoft, will make a comeback and take up the position of CEO. This June, Gates announced that he would gradually hand over his daily management work so that he could spend more time on charity work.
