Xiong Shengqing, the deputy director and chief engineer of China Aerogeophysical and Remote Sensing Center for Land and Resources, revealed in the 2008 China International Mining Conference held in mid November that aeromagnetic anomaly in our country has great potential in finding iron mines. It is predicted that the total amount of iron mine resources will be over 12 billion tons. As long as efforts are increased in exceptional examination work, major breakthroughs can be made in finding iron mines in a short term.
