Superior Guessing Behind the Exposure of Baidu by CCTV - Age1983

I must clarify first that I don't like Baidu. I basically use google.com to look up English materials, google.cn for Chinese ones, and Baidu News to search for news. Moreover, because Baidu often deletes links of commercial websites which are originally fine, I've written several articles criticizing Baidu.

But this time, I want to simply analyze why Baidu was targeted by CCTV, yet I can find no reason. What Baidu has done is the same as much of what CCTV has done. Both are good at putting on airs and pretending to be morally upright. There's also no conflict between their business models, so why does CCTV pretend to be a righteous savior to attack Baidu?

Today, I saw a table comparing the timing of events, and suddenly thought, could there not be a connection here?
