It's been a few days since I installed Vista. After the installation was complete, I went into the Device Manager to check which drivers were not installed. I noticed that the sound card driver had that annoying yellow question mark. My first reaction was to try installing the driver from XP. It showed a successful installation, and I was thrilled, but then I immediately encountered a problem. Although the installation was successful, audio playback didn't work at all — Windows Media Player reported an error. When I checked with DX10, it also showed that the sound card driver was not installed. So frustrating!
