The famous Lanzhou noodles are divided from thick to thin into "belt, extra wide, wide, leek leaf, two pillars, buckwheat ridge, small wide, thin, very thin, one nest of threads". However, no matter what they are called, you can't tell how wide the noodles are just by their names. You can just have a rough feeling: "'One nest of threads', it should be pretty thin; 'belt'...";
