The 2 major advantages of PVC widely used in the construction materials industry

The first is the unique properties of PVC (rainproof, fire-resistant, anti-static, easy to form), and the second is the characteristic of PVC with low input and high output. So, why can PVC have the above two advantages? Let's find the answer from its production process.

The production process of PVC is not complicated. A common production line generally consists of a roll press, a printing machine, a back-coating machine, and a cutting machine. The main process is through the direct stirring, roller rotation, and high-temperature rolling of the roll press to produce a film with a thickness of only 0.3 mm to 0.7 mm. At the same time during production, the printing machine prints patterns on the front of the film, and the back-coating machine applies a layer of back-coating on the back of the film. Don't underestimate this layer of back-coating; it is an important guarantee for the excellent performance of the PVC film. The back-coating is composed of special materials and is a high-energy affinity agent. It is precisely because of this layer of back-coating that the PVC film can be tightly fused with medium-density boards or other panels, lasting for ten or even fifteen years without de-lamination. The biggest problem with ordinary laminating films is the inability to solve the problem of film falling off. Since the entire production process is carried out at high temperatures (the temperature inside the roll press reaches 220 degrees), this gives the PVC film high light resistance and fire resistance, ensuring the high quality of the PVC film. Of course, this requires very high standards for production machinery. Typically, the cost of equipment for a production line is about 39 million marks, equivalent to approximately 1.6 billion yuan in RMB. On the other hand, the production technology of PVC film is quite simple, and the machine has a large output. Therefore, comprehensively speaking, PVC is actually a product with low input and high output.
