Ring rolling is the abbreviation of ring part rolling and expanding, which is a new method for forming ring parts. Its working principle is as follows: the rolling wheel rotates actively, driving the rotation of the ring blank, and then the ring blank drives the core roller to rotate. Meanwhile, the center distance between the rolling wheel and the core roller gradually decreases, that is, the thickness of the ring blank gradually decreases while the diameter gradually expands, until the required cross-sectional shape is formed. The guide roller plays a role in inducing the workpiece to form a circle and enhancing the stability of rolling and expanding. When the workpiece comes into contact with the signal roller, it indicates that the predetermined size has been reached, and the signal roller sends out signals for precision rolling and stopping. Then the rolling wheel completes the rolling task and retreats to its original position. Ring rolling is used to produce equal-section ring parts and has a wide range of applications, including train wheel rims, bearing inner and outer sleeves, gear rings, flanges, crane rotary rings, etc.
