Phenolic laminated cloth material has a low density, relatively high mechanical strength, good machinability, a certain heat-resistant temperature, as well as oil absorption and oil penetration properties. It has been widely used in retainers of angular contact ball bearings with diameters ranging from 2mm to 200mm. Bearings such as high-speed grinding head bearings, machine tool bearings, instrument bearings, gyroscope bearings, turbine bearings, turbocharger bearings, etc., all use phenolic laminated cloth material retainers, with dn values reaching up to 12×106 mm r/min.
