By place of origin, they can be divided into Suzhou style, Guangzhou style, Beijing style, Ningbo style, Chaozhou style, Yunnan style, etc.; in terms of flavor, there are sweet, salty, sweet-salty, spicy-numbing flavors; speaking of fillings, there are five-nut, red bean paste, rock sugar, sesame, ham moon cakes, etc.; by crust type, they can be classified into three major categories: slurry skin, mixed sugar skin, and flaky skin; in terms of shape, there are plain surface moon cakes, decorative edge moon cakes, and even ones shaped like Sun Wukong or the God of Longevity.
