Points to note when selecting bearing grease

The quality of bearing grease selection directly affects the stable operation of equipment. To better ensure bearings perform at their best condition, the following factors must be considered when selecting bearing grease:

1. Rust Prevention Performance

Grease used in bearings must have rust prevention properties. Ideally, the rust inhibitor should not be water-soluble. The grease should have good adhesion and can form a layer of oil film on the surface of steel.

2. Mechanical Stability

Grease can soften during mechanical operations, which may cause leakage. During normal operation, grease is thrown from the bearing housing into the bearing. If the mechanical stability of the grease is insufficient, the mechanical breakdown of its soap structure will occur during operation, causing damage to the grease and subsequently losing its lubrication function.
