Palm Treo Pro Officially Announced

This phone's been anything but a secret around here, and the official announcement confirms all of our reporting -- no harm in going over the specs one more time, though. Just as the rumors have said, this will be an unlocked device; the Palm Treo Pro runs Windows Mobile 6 Professional, supports quad-band GSM, has a 400MHz processor, 256MB of ROM, 128MB of RAM, tri-band 3G, quad-band GSM, microSDHC support up to an unprecedented 32GB, a 2 megapixel camera, a 320x320 resolution screen, GPS navigation, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It'll cost $549 off-contract in the US, while Vodafone and O2 will offer it for $399 with a contract -- hit the break for a slideshow and video, is this your next smartphone? Maybe we should give a farewell wave to the earlier PALM OS.
