It is reported that Intel will release the second model of the Core 2 Duo E7000 series dual-core processor, the E7400, in the fourth quarter, to replace the existing E7200. Apart from an increase in clock speed from 2.53GHz to 2.80GHz, the specifications of the E7400 are identical to those of the E7200, such as the 45nm Penryn Wolfdale core, 3MB L2 cache, 1066MHz front-side bus, and a 65W thermal design power, among others. Due to its replacement relationship, the E7400 will also be priced at $133. The only difference with the E7400 is that it has a slightly higher clock speed.
