By using the powerful computing capability of Tera-scale Processor, computers in the future will be able to identify visual content for convenient editing, production and management. Last year, Intel disclosed details about its newly developed 80-core processor. This processor is claimed to have achieved supercomputer-level performance. It is a programmable processor, only as large as a fingernail, and consumes less power than many present-day household appliances. It is the result of Intel's innovative Tera-scale computing research project, which aims to provide future personal computers and servers with Teraflops (trillions of operations per second) performance. This processor contains 80 cores.
