Sharp Corporation officially announced on the 12th that it will start a mobile phone sales business in China at the end of June. With the domestic market demand saturated in Japan, Sharp is shifting its focus to the affluent class in China and will launch high-end phones in the Chinese market. If its business in China proves successful, Sharp will consider entering other emerging markets in the future. Sharp will first release an improved model of the "AQUOS phone," which uses LCD TV technology and features a high-definition screen and a high-pixel camera function, priced at approximately 4500 RMB. Within the year, two or three more models will be launched, primarily targeting the affluent class in large cities such as Shanghai and Beijing, all priced above 3000 RMB.
