[Fig.] Toshiba launches a 1.8-inch 160GB hard drive

Toshiba today announced the world's highest capacity 1.8-inch 160GB hard drive, the previous record of 120GB was also created by Toshiba. This hard drive uses a SATA interface, with a speed of 5400 RPM, which is faster than most of the current 2.5-inch hard drives. At the same time, this hard drive will also be available in an 80GB version, which is characterized by being very light, only 0.3 inches thick, making it suitable for use in small laptops and mobile devices.
