The best-selling low-price notebooks have prompted the industry analysts to re-propose the view that "the blind pursuit of high configuration in the PC industry has caused a waste of computer resources". Consumer market research pointed out that 80% of current computer users use their computers 80% of the time for surfing the Internet, handling office documents, downloading and playing video and audio files. The CPU and graphic cards of current PCs have long been able to meet these needs, and Microsoft's Windows XP operating system is fully competent.
