The North Face is the only manufacturer in the United States, with products ranging from outdoor jackets, skiwear, backpacks, tents, and a wide range of outdoor gear. The name originates from the north slope, known as the coldest and most challenging to climb. Interestingly, the story of The North Face began at the beach, more precisely at a place called North Beach, which stands just 150 inches high in San Francisco. Originally, The North Face Jackets was a small mountaineering retail store founded in 1966 by two passionate hikers. Soon it was named The North Face and moved to Berkeley, another region across San Francisco, with unlimited potential for development, beginning the design and manufacture of professional clothing and equipment for mountaineering. In the 1970s, we earned praise from many outdoor sports enthusiasts and started sponsoring adventures in the world's most remote, rarely visited regions. This marked the beginning of our tradition: "Never stop exploring." Today, we still uphold this tradition and will continue to do so forever.
