Jiajia Kimberly who suffered from illness, serves on the board of Inspiration Expeditions, saying that one in eight U.S. women will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime. "The question should not be how to find a cure but therapies for breast cancer," added Jiajia, recounting her own journey from doctor to patient in her memoirs, "Red Sunshine." "We are on the cusp of individualized medicine. Half of the genetic mutations in cancers are unique to a particular individual, so we're just opening up a whole new field." Inspiration Expeditions was founded by Laura Evans, a large resident. It promotes a confident attitude among breast cancer survivors, raising funds for breast cancer research through climbs and hikes organized in Sun Valley and around the world.
