Below is an introduction to each part.

1. Working Principle

In fact, compared to general electronic weighing devices, wireless crane scales only add a wireless channel between the A/D module and the data processing microcontroller, and configure corresponding system functions according to the working status of the crane scale. The basic working principle remains the same.

2. Scale Body Structure

The scale body part is composed of weight sensors, load-bearing and force-transmitting structures, outer shell, A/D module, wireless data transmission transmitter, battery, etc.

4 Wireless Operation

The XK3190-H2B instrument is mainly used for wireless transmission electronic crane scales. Before operation, you need to first install the transmitting antenna on the scale body, then open the small door of the scale body to install the battery pack, insert the battery plug into the battery socket on the wiring board, turn on the switch, and the signal indicator light on the wiring board will start flashing, indicating that the circuit of the scale body has begun to operate. Turn on the instrument panel, and you can start the weighing operation. If the scale is not used or the load on the scale remains constant, after 30 seconds, the crane scale enters power-saving mode, with the indicator light flashing once every 5 seconds. At this time, if the load on the scale changes by more than 0.1% - 0.3% of the maximum capacity within 1 second, the crane scale automatically enters normal operating mode. If the load remains stable for 30 minutes, the crane scale automatically shuts down. When the indicator light on the wiring board stays lit, it indicates that the A/D module has stopped due to insufficient voltage of the scale body battery. After the scale body circuit automatically shuts down, if you want to turn it on again, you should close the switch or unplug the battery plug, wait a few seconds, and then turn on the switch or insert the plug again. Note that excessive movement of the battery plug after inserting it into the battery socket can easily damage the socket, causing poor contact.

Note: Do not insert the battery for a long time without connecting the antenna, otherwise it may easily destroy the wireless data transmission transmitter inside the scale body.

5 Wired Operation

When the XK3190-H2B instrument is used in wired mode, there is no need to install the scale body battery or antenna. Connect both ends of the provided signal cable to the scale body and the instrument respectively, turn on the instrument, and you can start the weighing operation. When shutting down, press the "OFF" key first, then turn off the power switch at the back of the machine or unplug the signal cable. If you do not turn off the power switch at the back of the machine or unplug the signal cable, the instrument will continue to power the scale body, affecting the battery's operating time.

6 Replacing Print Paper and Ribbon

When the print paper inside the built-in micro-printer runs out, open the printer cover, remove the used paper roll, place a new one, cut the head of the paper roll into a slightly convex arc shape, insert it into the paper inlet of the printer head, press the "Feed Paper" button until the paper reaches the appropriate position, then close the printer cover. When the printed characters become faint, it is necessary to replace the ribbon. Open the printer cover, press the "PUSH" marked area on the ribbon, and the other end of the ribbon will pop up. Remove the old ribbon and install a new one following the reverse process, then close the printer cover.

7 External Printer Installation

The printer interface uses standard parallel input, with a 25-pin RS232 female connector. It can be paired with dot matrix printers like KX P1131LQ1600KLQ300K that have Chinese character libraries. When using an external printer, connect the printer cable, turn on the printer power supply, and set the printer to "Online" status. The instrument will automatically connect with the printer and stop the built-in micro-printer. If you want to use the internal micro-printer again, turn off the external printer, and the internal printer will resume work.

If errors occur during printing with either the external or internal printer, the instrument will automatically disconnect from the printer. To reconnect after resolving the issue, simply turn off and then turn on the device again.

Printing Notes:

1. The connection between the instrument's print port output leads and the printer must be accurate and error-free. Use standard or Yaohua produced printer connection cables. Incorrect connections may damage the instrument's output port or the printer's input port, or even damage the instrument and printer.

2. Due to the variety of printer models and different performances, compatibility with the instrument varies. Please select recommended printer models.

8 Communication Interface

The XK3190-H2B has optional RS232/RS485/RS422 interfaces. If not specified by the user, it is configured as RS232.

1. The communication interface output leads must be accurately connected to the computer. Incorrect connections may damage the instrument's output port or the computer's communication input port, or even severely damage the instrument, computer, and associated external equipment.

2. Implementing computer communication requires necessary computer skills and programming abilities, which should be performed or guided by professional technicians. Non-professionals should not connect arbitrarily.

1. The communication interface adopts a 15-pin RS232 female connector (shared with the large screen). Its pin definitions are shown in Figure 9 for pins 67-8 (RS232) or pins 1234 (RS422/485).

2. All data is in ASCII code, with each byte consisting of 10 bits: the first bit is the start bit, the tenth bit is the stop bit, and the middle eight bits are the data bits. The communication method is divided into:

1. Continuous Mode: The transmitted data is the current weighing value (gross weight or net weight) displayed on the instrument. Each frame of data consists of 14 bytes.

2. Command Mode: The instrument outputs corresponding data based on commands sent by the host computer. Each command sent by the host computer results in a corresponding frame of data output by the instrument.

3. Block Transmission Mode: In the weighing display state, press the "Communication" "Cumulative Display" "Block Transmission" key to start transmitting the list of current category weighing data. First, transmit each weighing data in the following format:

10 2 Checksum Two-byte ASCII character representing a one-byte hexadecimal checksum, where the checksum is the XOR value from the transmission header to the carriage return character

3. Setting Instrument Communication Parameters:

1. Communication parameters consist of three parameters: communication address (parameter P21), baud rate (parameter P19), and communication mode (parameter P20).

2. Parameter settings are described in the "Keyboard Operation" chapter.

24 Check Connection to Large Screen Display

The connection between the large screen output leads of the instrument and the large screen display must be accurate. Incorrect connections may damage the instrument's output port or the large screen display's input port, or even severely damage the instrument and the large screen display. Connecting with the dedicated connection cable provided by Yaohua works well. The large screen display interface adopts a 15-pin RS232 connector (shared with the serial communication port). The large screen signal is a 20mA current loop or RS232 signal, binary-coded and serially output, with a baud rate of 600.

Battery Charging

When the "LoBAT" characters flash on the instrument display, it indicates that the instrument battery is low and should be charged promptly; otherwise, the instrument will automatically shut down after a few minutes. When charging the instrument with the H2CDQ intelligent fast charger, turn off the power switch at the back of the instrument to prevent circuit damage caused by high current charging. When charging under conditions where the "LoBAT" characters do not flash, press the discharge button on the fast charger to discharge before charging to prevent battery capacity degradation.

When the "LoBAT" characters stay lit on the instrument display, it indicates that the scale body battery is low and should be charged promptly; otherwise, the scale body will automatically turn off the power after 10 minutes. When charging under conditions where the "LoBAT" characters do not stay lit, press the discharge button on the fast charger to discharge before charging to prevent battery capacity degradation.
