Xsolaoyo: A Nationwide Sensation - Double-faced Fetus
Following the shocking discovery of a "mermaid fetus" in Wuhan, a pregnant woman in Hefei was found to be carrying a "double-faced fetus" during a prenatal check-up. Such cases are extremely rare globally, with only two known instances so far. The first case was a "two-faced baby girl" born in India in 2008. This girl caused a sensation in her local village and was even worshipped as a deity by the villagers.
Currently, a 25-year-old pregnant woman, Ms. Chen, who is 20 weeks into her pregnancy, received shocking news during a routine prenatal ultrasound. The results revealed that the baby she was carrying had two faces. Wang Ling, the director of the Ultrasound Department at Anhui Medical University's First Affiliated Hospital, stated that this was the first clinical case of a "double-faced" malformed fetus in Anhui Province.
Due to the special nature of the fetus's condition, even if it were to be born, surgical separation would not be possible. Therefore, the hospital has advised Ms. Chen to undergo an induced abortion. Following the procedure, she will also undergo chromosomal testing to further rule out any influencing factors.
