Amazon Kindle App Coming to Windows Phone 7 Devices by Doug Aamoth | @daamoth | October 28, 2010 | " . Later on " + Tweet Amazon has announced that its Kindle software will be available for Windows Phone 7 handsets. No specific release date is mentioned in the company's press release, although Amazon noted that the free app "will be the first major e-book application available for Windows Phone 7." Kindle for Windows Phone 7 will feature a couple of functions currently not available in other versions of the application, namely photo book recommendations on the home screen, and the ability to recommend books to friends "from a book in your library without leaving the app." Microsoft's Brandon Watson showcased the app as part of the keynote for the 2010 Professional Developers Conference held on Microsoft's campus today and tomorrow.
