Xingtai Mechanical and Electrical Technology College has adopted IC card-operated water heaters to build an intelligent card-swiping water-saving system. At the Xingtai Base of Hebei Province, the college has installed a networked IC card-operated water heater system. There are 22 card-swiping water heaters and 70 controllers for centralized card-swiping showers. These systems charge based on usage time. The electric valves controlled by card-swiping for hot water have an advanced domestic feature that automatically closes the valve in case of power failure. All equipment is networked, enabling the collection of detailed consumption data. The system is set to automatically upload data to the server three times daily and automatically download the blacklist to the water control system three times as well.
