At this moment, a female doctor who was passing by got out of the vehicle and knelt down on the scorching asphalt road to perform artificial respiration on the injured person who was still bleeding from the mouth. This scene was recorded by the road surveillance camera. Netizens affectionately called her "The Most Beautiful Angel in White in Suzhou City". Yesterday, our reporter contacted Dr. Ding Xin from the Neonatal Department of the Affiliated Children's Hospital of Suzhou University.

Upon encountering the accident, she rushed forward to perform artificial respiration on the victim.

The injured man had weak breathing, and his mouth and nasal cavity were continuously bleeding.

At around three in the afternoon on August 17, under the blazing sun, a traffic accident occurred on Jinmen Road in Suzhou city. At that time, Dr. Ding Xin from the Neonatal Department of the Affiliated Children's Hospital of Suzhou University and Nurse Bao Weijie were sitting in an ambulance, preparing to pick up a patient at the Third People's Hospital of Suzhou. When the ambulance drove to the Jinmen Road section, they noticed that the road ahead had become abnormally congested with traffic police maintaining order.

"Upon closer inspection, we realized it was a traffic accident," recalled Ding Xin. She saw that a male elder was lying in a pool of blood, breathing weakly, unconscious, with a hematoma on his head, and blood continuously flowing from his mouth and nose as he breathed, indicating severe injuries.

Seeing this critical situation, saving lives was paramount, and time was life. Ding Xin and Bao Weijie immediately jumped off the ambulance and began rescue efforts. However, the situation was unexpected: on one hand, the man who had been hit was unconscious, bleeding profusely, and breathing weakly, with a very serious condition; on the other hand, the ambulance was equipped with neonatal emergency equipment, lacking adult trauma emergency tools and devices.

Without emergency tools, the passing female doctor knelt down to perform artificial respiration.

Ding Xin quickly examined the man’s injuries on the spot and found that his heartbeat was weak, hanging by a thread. She preliminarily judged that the victim might have multiple severe traumas, including internal organ bleeding in the head, chest, and abdomen, as well as fractures. However, at this moment, the most important thing was to maintain his heartbeat and breathing! In an urgent situation, Ding Xin immediately knelt down and performed CPR on the man, mouth-to-mouth artificial respiration, winning precious time for the survival of the victim. "Since there were no instruments available on-site, only on-site emergency care could be provided."

During the 10 minutes of on-site rescue, Ding Xin continuously used a corner of her white coat to clean the large amount of blood flowing from the victim's mouth and nose, preventing respiratory obstruction and suffocation. She alternated between performing artificial respiration and cardiac massage, carrying out several rounds of rescues. During the breaks, Ding Xin listened for the victim's heartbeat and breathing, checked the size of the pupils, judged the fracture situation, and paid attention to not piercing the lungs or heart during cardiac massage. Seeing that the victim's mouth and nose were still continuously bleeding during CPR, she quickly instructed the nurse to get a needle and establish an intravenous channel...

Who is she?

Everyone mistakenly thought she was sent to save the victim,

and no one asked her name.

After about ten minutes, the urban 120 emergency ambulance arrived on the scene, lifted the victim onto a stretcher, and quickly left. Subsequently, Ding Xin and Bao Weijie boarded the children's hospital ambulance, quietly withdrawing from people's sight, continuing to execute the newborn transfer mission. Due to everyone being busy at the rescue site, no one asked her name afterward. So, who was this beautiful angel in white? Many citizens present expressed the hope to meet this angel in white.

"In fact, when the ambulance Dr. Ding Xin was riding passed the accident scene, we also mistakenly thought it was a vehicle dispatched for rescue," said Captain Chen Lei of the Jinxiang Traffic Police Brigade Accident Handling Team. Later, the police retrieved the surveillance video. "We didn't know which place this angel in white came from or where this vehicle was from. After checking the surveillance, we found that the license plate number might belong to the children's hospital ambulance."

She is amazing, nearly a hundred people searched all day but failed to find the missing man who climbed the Great Wall!

At that time, she just wanted to provide first aid as soon as possible,

saying saving lives is her instinct.

Subsequently, relevant departments made contact with the Affiliated Children's Hospital of Suzhou University. Soon, the hospital responded, confirming that the kneeling rescuer was indeed their doctor - Ding Xin from the Neonatal Department.

However, Dr. Ding Xin herself did not wish to be widely publicized, believing that for a doctor, saving lives is the most natural and purest thing, and it is also the instinct and work of a doctor.

Regarding the "kneeling rescue" on Jinmen Road, Ding Xin was very calm when interviewed by our newspaper yesterday. "At that time, I didn't think much. As a medical worker, when I see someone injured and in need of help, I absolutely cannot leave. I must stay and provide assistance, winning the maximum time for the victim's life and increasing the chances of survival." Ding Xin told reporters that at that time, she only thought about saving the person as soon as possible. "On-site rescue" is the principle! Whenever you see it, you must act. There is no doubt about it, and it is what she should do as a medical worker.

According to Liu Gaojin, the Party Secretary of the Affiliated Children's Hospital of Suzhou University, Ding Xin has worked in the neonatal ward of the Affiliated Children's Hospital of Suzhou University for four years. She graduated as an outstanding medical master and has always been recognized by everyone as a "warm-hearted person" after working. She is conscientious and responsible in her work, patient and meticulous with patients, and caring and amicable with colleagues. Originally from Sichuan, she has already settled down in Suzhou and has a lovely son.
