On a recent morning, a girl called her boyfriend again after oversleeping. The two had another fierce argument, and in his anger, the boyfriend said something along the lines of "just die then." The girl responded: "Fine, I'll die for you to see..." After hanging up, the girl indeed climbed onto the second-floor balcony.

To stabilize the girl's emotions, Kong Lingcen took the initiative to chat with her and found an excuse to get closer. "Big sister, look, I've been standing guard all morning and have rheumatism, let me stand higher..." The girl wiped away her tears and did not oppose.

Witness Mr. Han described that at around 9 a.m., he noticed a young woman sitting on the edge of a building's roof while passing by Nanba Road. Her hands were suspended in the air, and she was crying continuously. Many residents gathered nearby. Mr. Han felt something was wrong; some residents recognized the girl as living on the third floor, and he immediately called the police.

Subsequently, both were taken to the local police station for investigation.

Meanwhile, surrounding traffic patrol officers also arrived at the scene. Due to the girl's intense emotions, she refused to let anyone approach her, preventing any rescue efforts from being carried out.

Not long after, a 20-something female traffic officer named Kong Lingcen and her colleagues arrived at the scene. Through inquiries, they learned that the girl was about 16 years old, from a remote family in Weixinwei City, Sichuan Province. She followed her working mother to Chongqing and rented a place on the third floor of this building. At around 9 a.m., taking advantage of her relatives' absence, the girl climbed out from her home’s third-floor balcony and jumped onto the second-floor terrace. Since the building has an underground garage, the second-floor terrace was more than ten meters above the ground.

"Big sister, look, I've been standing guard all morning, and I have rheumatism, let me stand higher first," said Officer Kong Lingcen at around 9 a.m. in a commercial-residential building on Zhujia North Road, Jiangbei District. A 16-year-old girl tried to jump off a building due to an argument with her boyfriend. Using these words, Kong successfully approached and ultimately persuaded the girl to abandon her intention to jump.

Through conversation, the girl introduced herself as a waitress at a restaurant near Hongqihegou in Jiangbei District. About a year ago, she started dating a boy who is from Chongqing. The day before, the girl asked her boyfriend to come over to meet her mother during the weekend, but he refused, leading to a heated argument.

After listening to all this, Kong Lingcen immediately offered to help mediate with the boyfriend, obtaining his phone number from the girl and quickly handing it over to a colleague, urging the boy to come immediately. The police dialed the girl's boyfriend, and surprisingly, he didn't realize how serious his casual remark had made the girl feel. He said he lived in Shaqu and would take a taxi over immediately.

After the alarm was received, the local fire department immediately dispatched a fire truck and set up a rescue air cushion below the girl.

At around 10:50 a.m., the girl's boyfriend finally arrived. To the surprise of the police and rescuers, upon seeing her boyfriend, the girl neither scolded nor cried but smiled instead. Within two minutes, the boyfriend helped the girl climb down.

During the wait for the boyfriend, Kong Lingcen continued talking with the girl. Learning that the girl liked going online, Kong suggested they add each other on Weibo. The girl agreed, and her mood improved significantly. However, just as she was about to take Kong's phone to add Weibo, she suddenly pulled her hand back.
