Witness Mr. Han described that at around 9 a.m., he noticed a young woman sitting on the edge of a building's roof while passing by Nanba Road. Her hands were suspended in the air, and she was crying continuously. Many residents gathered nearby. Mr. Han felt something was wrong; some residents recognized the girl as living on the third floor, and he immediately called the police.

At around 9 a.m., taking advantage of her relatives' absence, the girl climbed out from her home’s third-floor balcony and jumped onto the second-floor terrace. Since the building has an underground garage, the second-floor terrace was more than ten meters above the ground.

A 16-year-old girl tried to jump off a building due to an argument with her boyfriend. Using these words, Kong successfully approached and ultimately persuaded the girl to abandon her intention to jump.
Through conversation, the girl introduced herself as a waitress at a restaurant near Hongqihegou in Jiangbei District. About a year ago, she started dating a boy who is from Chongqing. The day before, the girl asked her boyfriend to come over to meet her mother during the weekend, but he refused, leading to a heated argument.
After listening to all this, Kong Lingcen immediately offered to help mediate with the boyfriend, obtaining his phone number from the girl and quickly handing it over to a colleague, urging the boy to come immediately. The police dialed the girl's boyfriend, and surprisingly, he didn't realize how serious his casual remark had made the girl feel. He said he lived in Shaqu and would take a taxi over immediately.
After the alarm was received, the local fire department immediately dispatched a fire truck and set up a rescue air cushion below the girl.
At around 10:50 a.m., the girl's boyfriend finally arrived. To the surprise of the police and rescuers, upon seeing her boyfriend, the girl neither scolded nor cried but smiled instead. Within two minutes, the boyfriend helped the girl climb down.
