Trike Camper: Inside the Trike Camper, the Driver Can Operate the Vehicle While Sitting on a Mat

According to reports by RIA Novosti and American media on the 19th, American artist Jay Nelson had an inspiration after purchasing a used Honda CRX for $200—why not convert it into a multi-functional camper van? He then removed the electric motor from the Honda, bought plywood, fiberglass, acrylic, epoxy resin, and bicycle components, and began constructing an electric-powered "three-wheeled camper" himself.

Nelson cut entire sheets of plywood into small panels, piecing them together to form a polyhedral "cabin." He then embedded acrylic windows in a polyhedral pattern between the hood and the body, installing sturdy fiberglass frames around them. After completing the "cabin," Nelson applied a waterproof coating to the exterior surface, followed by a layer of glossy varnish.

The "three-wheeled camper" is 96 inches long (1 inch equals approximately 2.54 cm), 54 inches wide, and 64 inches high. Despite its small interior space, it features a kitchen, bedroom, storage room, and air conditioning, even including a bathroom. The kitchen is equipped with a sink, electric stove, and refrigerator, while the bedroom even has a sound system and water dispenser. Pulling up the gas strut at one end of the double bed reveals a massive storage area underneath. The entire vehicle is operated via a single steering wheel, allowing the driver to easily maneuver the vehicle forward while sitting cross-legged on a thick floor mat. It's reported that the electric motor can travel 16 kilometers on a single charge, with a top speed of 36 kilometers per hour.
