Around 2:00 PM on the first day of the Lunar New Year, the plainclothes division of the Municipal Public Security Bureau worked with the criminal investigation team of the Dongcheng Public Security Branch to catch two women stealing at the Ditan Temple Fair. At the Ditan West Gate New Year's goods street, two suspicious women drew the attention of the police. Their eyes weren't focused on the New Year's goods but instead wandered among the crowd, frequently glancing around. Based on work experience, the plainclothes officers began to "pay special attention" to these two individuals. When the two were in the act of stealing, the officers immediately moved forward and captured the two women. Upon investigation, it was found that the stolen wallet contained more than 500 yuan in cash. Currently, both have been dealt with according to law by the Dongcheng police.
To address the issue of dense crowds at the 27th Ditan Temple Fair, the Dongcheng police have formulated corresponding work plans, deploying nearly a thousand security personnel including police officers, armed police soldiers, and security guards.
