Social Edition of "Final Fantasy" Released, Web Version to Follow
Developed by SQUARE ENIX in collaboration with DeNA, the role-playing game *Final Fantasy Brigade*, launched on Japan's feature phone-based social gaming platform "Mobage," is now officially available. The game operates on a freemium model, where revenue is generated through in-game purchases of virtual items. According to reports, *Final Fantasy Brigade* will subsequently release versions for smartphones and web platforms.
*Final Fantasy Brigade* marks the first mobile-platform social game in the *Final Fantasy* series. In addition to featuring familiar monsters, jobs, and abilities from the *Final Fantasy* franchise, players take on the role of adventurers equipped with airships. They can team up with friends to form "airship brigades," working together to explore various regions in the game. The ultimate goal is to complete diverse missions and strengthen their airship brigades.
*Final Fantasy Brigade* has officially launched on Japan's feature phone-based social gaming platform "Mobage." As of now, the release schedule for the web and smartphone versions has not been announced.
