All (2 pages) As an old mobile user, today is really frustrating. I use the M-Zone annual data package, 15 yuan per month for 600 megabytes. Calculating the time, it's almost up, so I called 10086 to ask when it expires (which should be the operator's concern), and they said it expires in April, and I need to renew next month. However, the price has changed; 15 yuan can only get you 300 megabytes now. If you want to continue enjoying the 600-megabyte annual service, you have to pay 25 yuan per month!
In theory, with the increasing number of internet users and technological progress, Mobile should provide us with safer, faster, and more affordable network services. We won't mention safety; in many places, there's only Unicom signal and no Mobile signal, and I've put up with it. The internet speed reportedly ranks second-to-last globally; sometimes it takes forever to open a webpage, and I've put up with that too. But the internet prices keep rising again and again, is this fair?
The monk has been using the internet for a long time. Back then, there were no forums, just chat rooms. When I first started using the internet, Mobile recommended the annual data package to me: about 7 yuan per month for 800 megabytes. Although it was more expensive than the unlimited traffic old card in Guangdong, it was still usable. At that time, some people taught me how to use expired cards to surf the internet for free, but I didn't learn it because I thought deceiving others wasn't good. After using this package for many years, it was mysteriously canceled a few years ago, supposedly because I didn't renew it on time. What nonsense, if you don't notify me, how am I supposed to know when it expires? After arguing for half a day, there was no result. Since I still needed the internet, I had to accept their new annual package: 15 yuan per month for 600 megabytes, which I've been using until today!
Because of the previous bad experience with Mobile, I always call their customer service every year when my subscription is about to expire to request automatic renewal. Every time, they reply that I can only renew when it's about to expire. As a result, those months become my top priority, constantly checking to make sure I don't miss it. After asking for a while, the customer service representatives got annoyed and said, "Sir, don't worry, we will notify you when the time comes. If you want to renew your annual subscription, you absolutely won't miss it, and the price won't change. You are an old customer, don't worry."
But, what was bound to happen, happened. It seems my concerns were not unfounded; the price is going up again. Fine, the price is going up, but what's the reason? In the past, fewer people used the internet, and each base station provided service to very few users, so logically, the cost per person should be higher. Now, with more people using the same base station, the shared cost should decrease, so how could it possibly keep getting higher?
Firstly, we must clarify a fact: Mobile is a state-owned enterprise, and a large part of the investment for building base stations comes from national funding. You have no right to take the wealth of all citizens as capital and charge like a business model; this part should belong to public services! Secondly, even if you were a private company, focusing on economic benefits, since you're involved in the public service industry, you can't just raise prices unilaterally without holding a hearing to explain your reasons for the price increase! Thirdly, even if you don't care and still want to raise prices, the annual service you provide is a commercial contract. It's a package you designed yourself and sold to the public. How can this year's price be different from next year's? If you can arbitrarily break contracts whenever you want, where is the credibility of your company?
Regarding the existence of state-owned enterprises, society has many doubts. If state-owned enterprises operate under the banner of the nation... Remaining text 1/2
