**Exhibition Introduction:** The 14th Kenya International Auto Show, organized by the Kenya Exhibition Group, will be grandly held in May 2012. During this period, exhibitors from 17 countries will showcase all products in the automotive industry and related manufacturing equipment and machinery. This exhibition is the longest-running and largest auto-motorcycle accessories show held in Kenya. Kenya is a member of the East African and Southern African Free Trade Market and serves as the trade and financial center of East Africa. Although Kenya itself is one of the largest automotive parts markets in Africa, the organizers focus on attracting traders and importers from neighboring countries to visit the exhibition. Trade visitors from eastern and central African countries are invited. Regional trade organizations from Tanzania, Ethiopia, Uganda, Somalia, Mozambique, and Zaire, as well as Pakistan's automotive parts industry, participate. 80%-85% of exhibitors come from abroad, and 85% of exhibitors are satisfied with the exhibition results. In just three days, the transaction volume reached $21 million. This year, the organizing unit directly invited almost all auto parts traders from Central and East Africa. Due to the currently small number of Chinese enterprises participating in the exhibition, the transaction results are quite ideal. The Chinese exhibition area has always been loved by local buyers, receiving full attention during the exhibition period. Due to poor road conditions in Kenya and the fact that the Kenyan automobile market is mainly dominated by second-hand cars, there is a large demand for automobile parts. With the rapid economic development in recent years, this East African country has shed its label as an impoverished African nation while also seeing a growing demand for new cars, especially pick-up trucks and trucks.
**Market Introduction:** Kenya is located on the east coast of Africa, with a population of 32 million; it shares borders with Somalia (east), Ethiopia (north), Sudan (northwest), Uganda (west), and Tanzania (south). Kenya is the entry point for the sea transport line into East Africa and Central Africa and has the region's largest deep-water port—MOMBASSA. Kenya is a member of the East African and Southern African Free Trade Markets and serves as the trade and financial center of East Africa. The GDP growth rate exceeds 5%, requiring the importation of goods worth $6 billion annually, mainly including: machinery, means of transportation and equipment, petroleum products, automobile parts and motorcycle parts, steel, and plastic products. Major importing countries include: UAE (12.5%), Saudi Arabia (9.1%), South Africa (8.7%), USA (7.7%), India (7.2%), UK (6.7%), China (6.4%), Japan (5%). There are no restrictions on entering the U.S. and European markets. It radiates to over 500 million people in East Africa, Central Africa, and Southern Africa.
