During the process, Zhang Xian and Yao Qingwei's representative Ma Yanming got into a verbal altercation, and Zhang Miao's husband Wang Hui struck Ma Yanming. After the police officers brought everyone to the police station, Wang Hui was fined 200 yuan.
Lawyer Lan He indicated that Yao Qingwei should not and does not need to pay the 200,000 yuan. He believed that Zhang's family's action to claim the 200,000 yuan had "heavy traces of planning," and he questioned Zhang Xian's involvement in the defamation case as a bystander.
Yao Qingwei told reporters that if the Zhang family was truly in difficulty, he and his lawyer Lan He were willing to provide assistance within their capabilities and humanitarian support, but Zhang Pingxuan must disclose the exact amount and destination of the donations, proving their financial hardship. Additionally, they must clarify the lies previously spread in the media.
Another representative of Yao Qingwei, Ma Yanming, had already arrived at the neighborhood when he approached Zhang Xian and asked him to explain his previous statement of "not wanting blood-stained money" to the media and onlookers. While arguing with Zhang Xian, Wang Hui struck Ma Yanming twice. After the onlookers reported the incident, several people involved in the argument were taken away by the Chang'le Road Police Station officers, and Wang Hui was fined 200 yuan for disturbing public order.
Yao Jiaxin's father filed a defamation lawsuit against Zhang Xian, seeking one yuan in damages.
