The temperature of the hydraulic system of a hydraulic cone crusher is generally most suitable within the range of 35℃-60℃, with a maximum limit not exceeding 80℃. Under normal oil temperature conditions, the hydraulic oil in the crusher performs well in various aspects. However, excessively high oil temperatures can lead to numerous adverse effects on the hydraulic system, such as decreased viscosity, thinned lubricating oil film which is more prone to damage, reduced lubrication performance, lower volumetric efficiency of the crusher, increased mechanical wear, accelerated aging of rubber seals in the crusher, and diminished sealing performance, among others. Therefore, when using a hydraulic cone crusher, the system oil temperature should be maintained within the normal range. Specific operational methods are as follows:
(1) Maintain the normal oil level in the tank so that the crusher system has sufficient oil for circulation and cooling.
(2) When the actuator is malfunctioning, unload the system promptly.
(3) Clean the cooling device regularly to ensure it remains in good working condition.
(4) Based on the ambient temperature, select hydraulic oil with appropriate viscosity for the hydraulic cone crusher: use high-viscosity oil in high-temperature environments, and low-viscosity oil in low-temperature environments. In general environmental temperatures, gear pumps should use oil with a viscosity of 18-38 pf/s at 50℃.
(5) When the site temperature exceeds 30℃, continuous operation time of the hydraulic cone crusher should not exceed 4 hours. Avoid prolonged continuous operation.
(6) When the temperature is below 10℃, the crusher should run under no-load conditions for about 20 minutes to allow the oil temperature to rise to the specified value before commencing crushing operations.
